hang ten its where i wanna begin the pressures boiling and i’m out to the end new kicks and a couple of hits we’re wylin’ out with all the punks and the skids i’ve been meaning to ask you whatcha doing saturday done at eight clock’s just ticking away we’ll catch the matinee and maybe later on we’ll hit the cabaret breaking the rules make it a holiday misbehaving gotta keep shaking walking down the stairway to the subway station disobeying daylight savings heading out the door and yeah we’ll make it a vacation hey ho i’m waiting for more i thought i was in when you opened the door i’m stalling for time i don’t have the life hard losses be damned we’ll take on the night she’s so bedazzled in her studded dress turning up the radio she’s pulling me down in the undertow a little frazzled but it’s her alone making the city glow we can go anywhere you wanna go downtown yeah drowning in the thick of the plot i wrote it down oh just incase you forgot she’s got a barbershop lollipop never going to stop i can’t believe it how she moves it on the bar top cause i’ve been hanging on the bridge at night and i’ve been playing here for quarters nickels and dimes

she got a pretty golden locket in her pocket hanging off of a chain and she was really into Motorhead and tattoos on the side of her face yeah she drank like Lindsay Lohan at a kegger then she crashed at my place yeah she’s making me a sinner with the grin that takes it all of my mind yeah she’s a pinup in the fifties but she’s looking less and less like a dime but she gets freaky like its friday and she doesn’t ever ask for your time well she’s hanging hanging tougher than the fellas falling off in a daze and it’s only getting rougher and they’re never going to love her that way but she does it to herself there and she’s gotta take it elsewhere today well she’s smoking like a chimney and she’s all like gimme gimme a line and she’s gonna take a hike now if i never ever make her a bride but her buddy betty ford is going to take her till the feeling subsides yeah she carries on like everybody’s just a little pawn in her game and she’s running up on everyone and building up a hanky brigade oh she’s crazy and she’s batty and got issues with her daddy and she’ll never have enough of me to ever make her happy and when LA stopped calling thats when she started falling from grace yeah when LA stopped calling thats when she started falling from grace like a pitbull and a mamba had a baby and they sent it my way

i need to dial it back now and take another look i need to rest a second now like i never could cause things can get too heavy and life can waste your time and i’m feeling pretty hopeless in my current state of mind cause i want i want i want i want i want it all and you say you say you say that we’re already falling faster than we were before too little too late i want more i can crawl all i want but it’s over and done i need to take a minute now and just run it out i need to get an hour or two just to myself cause things can get all tangled and take away your time and i’m feeling pretty wrecked now in my current stage of life

All the girls at the shortstop running away from me they leave me alone and i ain’t got nothing better to do on the weekend i’m sitting at home and your lofty eyes won’t ever turn back time i wanna get back to those seconds i’m never second guessing when i’m staring at you you can pour the salt on my wounds and i’ll lay down slow caught up and out down in the afterglow i swear your colours fade looks like you’ve seen a ghost in the funhouse come on and carry me down from this merry go round and round till i’m sick of the sounds of this carnival ground i’m learning to get out of town Soliciting by the storefront ship me away from these suburban charades and send me off down the frightening chamber of nightmares its a sweet serenade out on coney island screams all through my silence it’ll get so terrifying won’t be no reconciling if i’m staying with you take a minute of your time back tuesday cause i been waiting just to hear what you say we can fake it till me make it our way and i don’t recall anything at all

come get your free kicks come get it all we’ll keep an eye out tonight we’ll hit up vegas and montreal maybe we follow the lights and i’ll be doing just fine this is kind of a lot this is all kind of new this is kind of a ball and i was made to think i’ll be just fine on my own and you can come with if you want we can sit here still we’d be doing well or we rip this town apart come get your freak on it’s such a rush we’ll keep and eye on the time we’ll come in loud like we dropped the bomb maybe we call out of spite let’s keep this quiet we’ll keep it down we’ll keep and eye on their aim we’ll carve a new path we’ll run it down maybe we’re one of the greats

The street lights were up on the old valley sign we ran from the cops and we hid out all night come rain or come snow in the old neighbourhood making plans to have no plans and up to no good we ran when we met up and skirted the law you had dreams that were bigger than any i saw was doomed from the moment you said it’s just fun and yet to this day you may still be the one so if we run now don’t be backing out if you’re let down and if we fall well we all fall baby we all drown we couldn’t be bothered back then but we’ll fight until someone says when we hustle and flow and we let it all go we wonder what we could’ve been sing ooh whoa they never saw us coming never saw us coming sing ooh whoa they never saw us coming never saw us coming
